Effect of auricular acupuncture on cancer pain: a systematic review

Aims: To analyze the scientific evidence available in literature about effect of auricular acupuncture on cancer pain. Method: Systematic review guided by criteria Preferred Reporting Items for Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA Statement); whose research question was “What are effects auriculotherapy/auricular pain adults?”. EndNote Rayyan platforms were used to manage references stages article selection, respectively. The Jadad scale assess methodological quality studies. data collected from articles grouped into tables analyzed descriptively. Results: A total 3484 found, which 11 made up sample this study, majority showed excellent (54.54%). 533 adults complaining treated, using as only intervention or a complement another treatment and, all studies, it proved be effective both painful symptoms relieving other secondary signs, such anxiety insomnia. Conclusions: Auricular is when administered either through needles seeds at specific points (aché point), addition shemman, sympathetic, subcortex, kidney points.
